How We Work

II4A4398.jpg
  • Rather than focusing on attendance, we explore the emotional, physical, relational and environmental factors that make school feel unmanageable, so we can identify what might need to change.

  • Our work follows six stages: Recognise, Connect, Listen, Understand, Meet, Engage.

  • Our work is collaborative and co-produced. Based on four years of research, pilots and workshops supporting young people and their families, who told us what they really needed.

Who leads this work

I'm Ange McMillan, an Autistic, BACP-accredited counsellor and the founder of Elemental Health.

I've spent 18 years supporting neurodivergent and anxious young people, their families and the professionals around them. I bring that experience, and my own lived experience, into every session and training day.
