Recent research shows that over twelve percent of young women and nearly eight percent of young men aged 16-24 self-harm (SOURCE NHS).
In this experiential workshop we will explore why self harm is on the increase and look at ways that we can support people who may be self-harming.

Angela McMillan is a British Association for counselling and psychotherapy accredited counsellor (Membership number 031233) and supervisor with over ten years experience working with adults and young people. She has worked for a number of high profile organisations including Childline, Mind, The YMCA and the Terrence Higgins Trust and has run counselling services in sixth form colleges and schools. She delivers mental health awareness training to organisations across the UK and Wales and teaches emotional literacy and mental health awareness in education and youth organisations and is a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor.
