A series of workshops to help you understand and support Self-Harm, Anxiety and Depression.
In our work as mental health trainers we are meeting parents and carers who are struggling to find accessible courses that can help them support the children in their lives.

Our Self-Harm support workshop will explore what self-harm is, reasons why people self-harm and strategies to help your child.
Our Anxiety workshop will explore the signs of symptoms of anxiety and look at the ways in which you can support your anxious child.
Our Depression workshop will cover the signs and symptoms of depression and will provide you with tools and resources to help your child work their way towards recovery.
Each 3 hour workshop will be practical and will provide you with recommendations, signposting and guides for you to take away.
The workshops are £35 per course (Plus VAT), which includes handouts and refreshments
Course spaces are limited to 12 people per group.
About our trainer: Angela McMillan is a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited counsellor. She currently delivers Mental Health Awareness Training across England and Wales. She has over 10 years' experience counselling children and young people and has worked for Childline, The YMCA, the Terrence Higgins Trust and Mind. She currently runs a counselling service in a school and has a private practice in Cardiff Bay.
Angela McMillan is a British Association for counselling and psychotherapy accredited counsellor (Membership number 031233) and supervisor with over ten years experience working with adults and young people. She has worked for a number of high profile organisations including Childline, Mind, The YMCA and the Terrence Higgins Trust and has run counselling services in sixth form colleges and schools. She delivers mental health awareness training to organisations across the UK and Wales and teaches emotional literacy and mental health awareness in education and youth organisations. She is an associate Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England instructor and approved Youth Mental Health First Aid (Wales) Instructor.
